Dimethylpolysiloxane stationary phase is chemically bonded as well as cross-linked to increase the stability. Columns can be rinsed by organic solvents to rejuvenate them by removing semi-volatile and polar residues deposited during the use of the column. This is a general purpose non-polar column.
